Eros Renzetti (1965), is an artist with his own visual imagery, also built up over years of apprenticeship with two of the best-known visionary artists of the post World War II period, Leonor Fini (1907-1996) and Fabrizio Clerici (1913-1993), his masters.
After the first ‘expressionist’ experiments at the end of the 1970s, his imagery, from the 1990s to the present day, focuses on fantastic figuration, with characters that appear hieratic in a theatrical and metaphysical context, bizarre, strange and eccentric.
Quotations from the world of theatre, fashion, glamour photography and even the latest queer phenomena are clearly visible in his works.
The works defined as “Fine Art Prints” and “Giclée” on this site are created on the basis of digital elaborations of paintings previously painted in oil by Eros Renzetti; or, in some cases, digital natives; using the following techniques:
- Photo collage of various vintage images
- Composition and post production
- Optimisation with programmes such as Adobe Photoshop 2023 and Corel Painter 2023
The works visible and offered for sale on this site under ‘Fine Art Prints’ and ‘Giclée’ are executed in high-definition printing using inkjet technology.
Depending on the formats, they are printed with the printers:
